The summit is open to youth between the ages of 15 and 40 years regardless of Education, culture, religion, physical disability or gender. The Summit is opened to both Ghanaians, Africans and International Participants. Potential applicants or delegates should be interested in the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030 and Agenda 2063, Human Rights, Peace and Security, Humanitarian and Climate Action.

Potential applicants can do so as individuals or must be a member of the National Students Unions, National Religious Students Unions, National Youth Based Organizations, National Courses Based Organizations, Political and Social Activism Groups, Performance, Sports and Recreational Groups, Service and Honorary Societies, National Societies for Persons with Disabilities, Regional Groups, Social Clubs, Faith Based Organizations, Non-Governmental Organizations and Civil Society Organizations, International Organization, a Diplomatic Mission.

The entire summit is residential hence all participants will be kept in various residential facilities within and around the conference facility.


All applicants must make full payment to guarantee their registration. Once payment has been received, an email confirmation and a receipted invoice will be sent to you. If payment is not made at the time of booking, registration will be provisional. Bookings received less than two weeks before the conference date can only be paid by credit card.



A non-refundable and non-transferable administration fee per person is required to complete registration and obtain invitation letter and admission to the first Annual UN Youth Summit.


Applicants who are based outside of Ghana are responsible for obtaining their own visa to travel to the Ghana. Please note that United Nations Youth Ghana’s responsibility is limited only to supplying the invitation letter to the event. Please note that Ghana’s Permanent Missions and Consulates abroad are not in any way involved in the Annual UN Youth Summit application or registration processes hence acquiring visas to attend the Summit is based on individual application and information submitted and it has no ability to influence the embassies’ decisions on applicant visas.


Applicant may nominate an alternative person from their organisation or a representative to attend up to 24 hours prior to the start of the event, at no extra charge. Should substitution not be possible, cancellation charges apply as follows:
4 weeks or more prior to start of event: 30% of the applicant fee to be paid
     3 to 5 weeks prior to start of event: 40% of the applicant fee to be paid
2 weeks or less prior to start of event: 100% of the applicant fee to be paid

All substitutions and cancellations must be received in writing and email sent to us on unyouth.ghana@gmail.com.


Applicants should give indication of any special access requirements at the time of registration.

By submitting registration details, applicants agree to allow UN Youth Ghana and Partners associated with the conference to contact them regarding their services. Applicants who do not wish to receive such communications may email unyg.summit2018@unpy-un.org.The contact details of registered applicants will be placed on the attendee list which will be passed to sponsoring companies and to all attendees for them to see who will be at the conference for the purpose of networking and meetings. Applicants who do not wish to be included on this list may notify to object at the time of booking.

It is the responsibility of the applicants to arrange appropriate insurance cover in connection with their attendance to the Summit. United Nations Youth Ghana cannot be held liable for any loss, liability or damage to personal property.


United Nations Youth Ghana may use the speaker’s name and presentation materials to promote publicity and encourage attendance at the conference.

Presentations and papers including all associated artwork and illustrations will not be returned unless specifically requested by the author. The papers must be objective and completely free of advertising and commercialization.

United Nations Youth Ghana may audio and/or video tape the speaker’s session and the recording may be reproduced and sold as part of the overall Summit materials. This allows participants, especially those who may be absent at a particular session, to purchase audio/video copies of presentations which may be needed for later reading.

United Nations Youth Ghana may reproduce copies of the speaker’s presentation (eg. PowerPoint slides or supporting hand-outs) on paper and/or electronically to be sold as part of the overall hand-out materials during the conference and after the event. Any acknowledgement regarding Copyright or support should be included at the end of the abstract/presentation, as these will be distributed to the conference participants.
